BIOGRAPHY
Lucy May Ryemill is a 20 year old, British actor and comedy writer currently completing an undergraduate degree in Drama with Acting at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her formal training is rooted in theatre, while her professional work to date has developed predominantly across screen acting and comedy.
Lucy’s screen credits include a supporting role as Joey in the horror feature Rough Draft(2025) and a lead role as Stacy in the independent horror feature The Sixth (2025). Alongside her acting career, she has developed extensive experience in comedy writing and production, creating both scripted and unscripted podcast content for Witz Comedy Network, a Florida-based digital studio with offices in New York City and Los Angeles.
Lucy is currently a consulting writer on Corpse Control, a scripted comedy project in development with Angry Buddha Films and Cineverse, for which she is also attached as an on-screen performer. Separately, The Stand Comedy Club, with venues in New York City and a third location planned for Miami, is developing a comedic one-woman show inspired by Lucy’s life, produced in association with FanX Stage.
Prior to university, Lucy undertook extensive performance training, progressing through LAMDA examinations from Grade 5 to Grade 9 and achieving a Gold Medal with Distinction. She competed for three consecutive years in the Shakespeare and Contemporary categories at the Mid-Somerset Festival’s Young Actor Competition and completed two years of dedicated General American dialect coaching with Rebecca Gausnell.
At Westonbirt School, Lucy held a Drama Scholarship and was appointed Head of Performing Arts during her A-level years. She studied Drama and Theatre Studies, English Literature and Media Studies, developing a broad foundation across performance, writing and the wider creative arts.
As a versatile performer, Lucy has particular strengths in accent and dialect work, including General American, Northern Irish, Northern English and British RP. Her acting practice is complemented by experience in improvisation and comedy writing, including award-winning work.
Outside of performing, Lucy is an accomplished and versatile sportswoman. She is a skilled go-kart driver and was selected by professional drivers to pursue further competitive opportunities in the sport. She is also a competent skier and has participated in a broad range of sports, including netball, football, rugby, hockey, racket sports, golf and athletics, with a particular interest in javelin.
A lifelong animal lover, Lucy grew up surrounded by dogs, horses, cats and other animals and lived on a rural smallholding with sheep and farm animals. This upbringing has contributed to her longstanding interest in animal welfare.
